Our Story
About NorthStar Advocacy
Hi, I'm Stacie
I'm the founder of NorthStar Advocacy, an independent SEND advocacy service supporting families and neurodivergent adults to navigate systems that can often feel overwhelming and confusing.
As a mum of six children, including neurodivergent children, I understand first-hand the challenges that come with fighting for the right support. I've sat in the meetings, completed the forms, challenged decisions, and experienced the emotional toll that many families face every day.
That's why I created NorthStar Advocacy — because no family should feel like they're facing the SEND system alone.
Why NorthStar Advocacy?
Too often, families are left feeling unheard, unsupported, and unsure of what their next step should be.
NorthStar Advocacy was created to provide practical guidance, clear advice, and compassionate support throughout the SEND journey.
Whether you're:
Applying for an EHCP
Preparing for meetings
Challenging decisions
Navigating school difficulties
Appealing to a tribunal
Seeking support as a neurodivergent adult
I'm here to help you understand your options and advocate with confidence.
My Approach
I believe advocacy should be:
🧭 Clear, not confusing
💜 Supportive, not judgemental
📋 Practical, not overwhelming
⭐ Focused on achieving the best possible outcomes
Every family and individual is unique, so I take the time to understand your situation and provide tailored support that works for you.
Results So Far
Since launching NorthStar Advocacy, I've been proud to:
⭐ Secure 3 EHCPs
⭐ Support successful outcomes at 2 SEND tribunals
⭐ Provide ongoing support to multiple families navigating the SEND system
⭐ Help parents feel more confident and empowered in advocating for their children
More Than Just Advocacy
NorthStar Advocacy isn't just about paperwork and meetings.
It's about helping people feel heard, understood, and supported during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Because every individual deserves the right support and guidance to reach their potential.
A Personal Note
The reason NorthStar Advocacy means so much to me is simple:
I know what it feels like to be the parent sitting awake at night worrying about their child's future.
I know what it feels like to walk into a meeting feeling outnumbered.
And I know how life-changing it can be when someone stands beside you and helps you find a way forward.
That's exactly what I aim to do for every family I support.
